  • Masoodi and Sibt bin Jawzi report from their chains that Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) after praising Allah said – When Allah wished to initiate creation and existence, He shaped the creatures before rolling out the earth and raising the skies. Then light burst forth from His Light of Majesty till it mellowed into an extract from His Brilliance. Then He assembled all the shapes and among them was our Prophet (s.a.w.a.). Then Allah addressed him (s.a.w.a.) – You are the one delegated with the choice, you are the one given the light…for your sake I have initiated reward, punishment, Paradise, Fire and have appointed your Ahle Bait (a.s.) as the signs of guidance and the repositories of My Secrets…

  • The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informed – …it was written on the base of Arsh – There is no God but Allah. Muhammad (s.a.w.a.), Ali (a.s.), Fatima (s.a.), Hasan (a.s.) and Husain (a.s.) are the best of creation.

    Then Jibrail supplicated – O Lord, I ask you by their right on You that you make me their servant.

    Allah replied – I have done so.

    Then Jibrail serves the Ahle Bait (a.s.) and is their servant.

  • Imam Jafar Sadiq (a.s.) informed – One who completes a year of his life and does not go for Ziyarat of Imam Husain (a.s.), then a year from his life decreases. If we say that some of you pass away from this world thirty
    years earlier than destined, then certainly we have said the truth. This is because you have abandoned the Ziyarat of Imam Husain (a.s.). Then never leave it, (and) Allah will increase your lifespan and your sustenance. And if you abandon the Ziyarat, Allah will decrease your lifespan and sustenance. Then aspire to perform his Ziyarat and don’t abandon it ever, because Imam Husain (a.s.) is a witness on you from the side of Allah, His Prophet (s.a.w.a.), Ali (a.s.) and Fatima (s.a.).

  • Umm Salma (r.a.) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.a.) was in my house when Fatima (s.a.) entered with Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.) behind her.

    The Prophet informed Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.) – O Ali! Rejoice because you and your companions will be in Paradise. O Ali! Rejoice because you and your Shias will be in Paradise.

  • The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) narrated: When I was taken to the heavens….(then) Jibrail said – Go ahead, I went ahead till the magnificence of My Lord manifested itself as He wished.

    Then my Lord ordered – Come close, I drew close till the distance between my Lord and me was less than ‘two bow-lengths or even nearer’ (Surah Najm (53): 9).

    Allah – O Muhammad who did you appoint as your successor on the earth?

    Prophet (s.a.w.a.) – Ali (a.s.)

    Allah – Do you wish to see him?

    Prophet (s.a.w.a.) – Yes, My Lord.

    Allah – O Muhammad look at the veil on your right.

    Prophet (s.a.w.a.) – I looked to my right and saw Ali (a.s.) bowing to Allah, the High. I said – O Lord, this is Ali bowing.
    Allah – Look at the earth.

    Prophet (s.a.w.a.) – Then I looked at the earth and saw Ali (a.s.) standing in worship. I said – O Lord, this is Ali (a.s.) standing in worship.

    Allah – Look below the Arsh. Then I looked below the Arsh and saw Ali (a.s.) prostrating. I said – O Lord, this is Ali (a.s.) prostrating.

    When I descended on the earth, I informed Ali (a.s.) about what had transpired.

    Ali (a.s.) said – O Prophet of Allah, I am but a servant of Allah and under His Control. He transforms my condition as He wishes and desires.

  • Ibn Abbas reports that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) narrated: When I was taken to the heavens and Jibrail and I reached the seventh sky, Jibrail said – O Muhammad this is my limit. Then a shower of light engulfed me. I found myself with an angel from the angels of Allah who resembled Ali (a.s.) and was named Ali. He was prostrating below the Arsh and was reciting – O Allah forgive Ali (a.s.), his progeny, his lovers, his Shias, his followers and curse his haters, his adversaries, the ones envious of him, ‘surely You have power over everything’.

  • Mufazzal b. Umar asked the Imam (a.s.) – O Son of Allah’s Prophet! Please inform me about the meaning of the following words of Allah, ‘And he made it a word to continue in his posterity that they may return’ (Surah Zukhruf (43): 28

    The Imam (a.s.) informed – This implies that Allah established divine authority (Wilayat) in the progeny of Husain (a.s.) up until the Resurrection Day.

  • The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informed – When I was made to ascend the fourth heaven I saw the figure of Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.). I told Jibrail – This is my brother Ali (a.s.). It was revealed to me – This is an angel. Allah has created him in the image of Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.). Seventy thousand angels visit him every day. They glorify and magnify Allah, the reward of which is reserved for the lovers of Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.).

HADITH OF THE DAY

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informed: Indeed Allah ordered me to love four people. He (s.a.w.a.) was asked: O Prophet of Allah! Who are they? The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) replied: Ali is one of them. I was also ordered to love Salman, Abu Zarr and Miqdad. I was told that Allah also loves them.

  • Imam Sadiq (a.s.) was asked regarding the verse – وَ مَنْ قُتِلَ مَظْلُوماً فَقَدْ جَعَلْنا لِوَلِيِّهِ سُلْطاناً فَلا يُسْرِفْ فِي الْقَتْلِ إِنَّهُ كانَ مَنْصُوراً

    ‘and whoever is slain unjustly, We have indeed given to his heir authority, so let him not exceed the just limits in slaying; surely he is aided.’ (Surah Bani Israel (17): 33)

    Imam Sadiq (a.s.) – It is revealed concerning Imam Husain (a.s.) – if his successor slays the entire population of the earth as vengeance for Imam Husain’s (a.s.) killing, it will not be extravagant and his successor is the Qaim (a.s.).

  • Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informed Ammar bin Yasir – Soon there will be confusion after me in my nation till swords are drawn out and some are killed by others and a group does tabarra from another group. When you witness this, then it is mandatory for you to hold on to this bald one on my right i.e. Ali bin Abi Talib (a.s.). If all the people venture into a valley and Ali (a.s.) ventures into another valley, then you must head for the valley of Ali (a.s.) and abandon the people. O Ammar, Ali (a.s.) will never turn you away from guidance and will never guide you towards destruction. O Ammar, obedience to Ali (a.s.) is obedience to me and obedience to me is obedience to Allah, the Almighty.
