It is narrated from Jabir-e-Jofi through his chain of reporters that: I asked Muhammad Baqir (a.s.): What it is that is in need of the Prophet and the Imams? He replied: They are needed for the survival of the universe in a good condition. And that Allah keeps away divine wrath from the people if the Prophet or Imam is among them. The Almighty Allah says: “But Allah was not going to chastise them while you were among them.”(Surah Anfaal (8): Verse 33)
